Cielo Vista Neighborhood Association Mission

Leadership Advocacy; to build resources and community relationships which will enhance quality of life through neighborhood improvements with long-term sustainability.

Organizational Purpose

The purpose of our neighborhood association is to enhance the Association???¢?‚???‚?™s area to promote a better neighborhood and community through group action, so that the quality of life in the area shall be in keeping with the social, environmental, cultural, and historic needs and interests of the residents and members.

Membership Meetings

CVNA meetings are held every 2nd Thursday of the month at 6 pm in the WH Burges high school library at 7800 Edgemere Blvd.  The scheduled meetings for 2021 will be on January 14th, February 11th, March 11th, April 8th, May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, August 12th, September 9th, October 14th, November 11th,  Christmas Party in lieu of December meeting.

A new neighborhood Association, Valley View/Crest Hill, has formed within the original boundaries of the CVNA.  Click on the boundary map below to view.  Valley View boundaries overlap with CVNA???¢?‚???‚?™s original boundaries:

  • East ???¢?‚???‚?“ McRae Blvd
  • North ???¢?‚???‚?“ Fort Bliss, EP International Airport, Montana
  • West ???¢?‚???‚?“ Geronimo

 

Board Members

 

Mike Adjemian, President

Michael Adjemian born in Reno, Nevada. Now calls El Paso home. He has over 30 years of extensive knowledge and understanding of manufacturing facilities throughout Mexico as well as the Southwestern U.S. He attended U.T.E.P. as well as U.A.CH in Chihuahua City, majoring in Marketing.

 

He is actively involved in his community. He has held the position of Neighborhood Watch Block Captain for over 7 years. He has been an active, member of the El Paso Police Department???¢?‚???‚?™s Pebble Hills Regional Command Center???¢?‚???‚?™s Citizens Advisory Board for 5 years. He participates and contributes to other non-profit organizations, such as the Special Olympics past assistant golf coach, annual participant in the Making Strides of El Paso against Breast Cancer annual walks to include March of Dimes walk as well.

 

Michael is always pro - actively looking for ideas and suggestions to improve the quality of life for his neighbors, community and his family. Michael???¢?‚???‚?™s qualities include a high level of enthusiasm and initiative.

 

Michael is married to his wife Bertha of 33 years; they have 1 daughter Michelle, who has attended Bonham, MacArthur, and Graduating from Burges in 2002. They have been residents of this community for over 25 years.

 

Elected as a Neighborhood Coalition Eastside Representative, responsible for 10 Neighborhood Associations spanning the Eastside of El Paso. this 2-year term ends on October 2018.

 

Selected in the summer of 2017 by the City???¢?‚???‚?™s Neighborhood Services Division, to participate in a Neighborhood Association support task force consisting of 8 members to work closely with the new emerging Neighborhood Associations, along with the at risk of dissolution Neighborhood Associations.

 

Bertha Adjemain, 1st Vice-President

I am a native El Pasoan, a graduate of Jefferson High School. I have worked in women???¢?‚???‚?™s apparel retail as a store manager for over 40 years. Recently retired, stay at home mother and wife, my husband and I recently celebrated our 36 wedding anniversary this year, 2017. I enjoy serving my community thru the Cielo Vista Neighborhood Association.  

Roger Montoya, 2nd Vice President

Virginia Abilez, Parliamentarian

Born in El Paso, grew up in El Barrio del DIABLO, between the Dudley baseball field and the Isla De Cordova. Attended Zavala School, Graduated from Jefferson High School. I attended International Business School and graduated from UTEP with a degree in Education. I started working for the Bracero Program. After 2 years transferred to White Sands Missile Range then five years later transferred to the Ft. Bliss High Altitude Dept.  Following 15 years of service I quit to stay home with my kids. I was a volunteer for the PTA, the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts, after ten years I went back to work at William Beaumont Army Hospital (Blood Bank) then 2 years later transferred to the Air Defense School where I retired after 15 years of service as a military instructor.  After retirement I volunteered for CASA, church, PTA and the Wendy Davis Campaign.  I am now a proud volunteer for the Cielo Vista Neighborhood Association.

Marcus Carillo, Sergeant at Arms

Born in the beautiful city of El Paso. A graduate of Ysleta High School. I worked in the Airline Industry for

Over 30years and recently retired. My wife and I celebrated our 25th Wedding anniversary this year.

I love El Paso and the Surrounding Area, because of its Unique Culture. I am a proud volunteer for the Cielo Vista

Neighborhood Association.
